La Caldera, Salta
Posada La Caldera, history and nature
Established by the Jesuits, La Caldera is one of the nicest and better preserved towns of the Province of Salta. On the bank of the Caldera River, the white houses with large balconies that lay at the hills seem to have stopped time.
There, only 21 kilometers away from the city of Salta, is Posada La Caldera. It is a 250-year-old manor house that has been restored imitating the original style of the period to offer the guest the maximum comfort.
Posada La Caldera is the ideal place for those who prefer to leave behind the lifestyle of the capital city and enjoy the peace of a town immersed in the nature, where you can ride a horse, climb and even practice water sports. Thanks to its excellent location, on the mountain road that links Salta to Jujuy, you can also take excursions to the Quebrada de Humahuaca, the outskirts of the city of Salta or to the Valles Calchaquíes (Calchaquies Valleys).
In Posada La Caldera, you will be received by its owners.
